Chickpea [link] has officially invaded the LES. Definitely under the radar. Now at the corner of Houston and Eldridge, the pita spot is adjacent to an old-school Western Union/Check Ca$hing storefront. A clash of the seedy and upscale, the site is a familiar social conundrum that is so typical these days. The franchise now boasts 3 eateries city-wide, including old newcomer Tahini (Glatt Kosher) [link], which now occupies the St. Marks location.
