DOB Presentation on 180 Orchard

For those of you who were at the last CB housing committee meeting (which was in July, as they were not in session in August) you might remember the entire Housing Committee voted unanimously to ask the DOB to come to the next meeting and answer questions about 180 Orchard Street, because the developer seemed clueless and was presenting very contradicting information. In fact, the Committee voted to have a letter sent by the Community Board to the DOB with specific questions in it. Barden Prisant, head of the committee, even forwarded us his draft of the letter that was to go out. Unfortunately, no letter was ever sent. And unfortunately, Barden Prisant was removed as head of the committee very suddenly in August – – which really sucks as he was very knowledgeable, informed and trying to help us get information.
