Last week, the DOB issued another stop work order [link] for the construction site at 196 Bowery. The charming two-story structure that once graced this plot was demolished back in March to make way for eight stories of upscale residential living. I bet the Maisel family, inhabitants of the adjacent Germania bank building [link], is quite happy with the news.
