Muni Meters Invade Orchard Street
The Lower East Side takes yet another step toward modernity this week. Indeed, parking meters along Orchard Street will get the axe tomorrow to make way for new-fangled Muni Meters. A fond farewell to a vanishing street icon.
The cynic in me anticipates plenty of malfunctions. And happy motorists.
