T-Poutine on Ludlow
According to an urban cowboy working on-site, 168 Ludlow will soon become T-Poutine, a trendy French fast food joint. Amidst the tools, tarps, and dust sits a fresh-looking bar just waiting for action. The owner hopes to open the eatery in about three weeks. Signature menu item is, unsurprisingly, poutine.
Architects Market Design have a brief synopsis on their website.
T-Poutine is a french fast food restaurant located on Ludlow street in the fashionable Lower East Side district. Market Design developed a dynamic design compatible with the signature food of the restaurant: Canadian poutine. Canadian poutine is basically french fries with different toppings which is served in a cone. The geometry of the design is generated through the abstraction of french fry pieces thrown sporadically in a cone. The design fits suitably with the young clientele of the Ludlow party scene.
The Ludlow party scene. Seriously? Way to denigrate the true character of our neighborhood!
