New Gold Standard
There’s a new gold standard on Stanton Street near the intersection of Ludlow. A lamp post and handful of fire hydrants in the vicinity are spray-painted in two-toned gold and silver. Over the weekend, while we snapped a few quick shots, a random store worker pointed to the responsible party across the street. The culprit was an older man sitting outside the JAE Deli Supermarket, sipping on an energy drink and dressed head-to-toe in army fatigues. We asked what his motivation was for this “guerrilla urban renewal.” He replied simply, “I wanted it to look cleaner.”
Estimated time until paint removal – two weeks.
