Casanis Undergoing Renovations
Broome Street bistro Casanis is currently undergoing renovations. Pinned to the menu box out front is a sign that reads, “The restaurant will be closed until August 5. We apologize for any inconvenience. See you again soon.” Despite all the visible work in the last week, such announcements often spell the beginning of the end. Time will tell.
We walked past the other night and noticed a small crew of workers on scene. One man was painting the exterior, while another two were busy touching up the dining room. All of the restaurant furniture was stacked in one area beneath dropcloths.
