Tenement Power Wash
Earlier this week, two men in yellow slickers power washed the brick facade of 73 Monroe Street, a beautiful tenement adjacent to the Manhattan Bridge. The ornate masonry of the building is now more clearly visible. We wonder how many years of city soot and grime were actually caked onto that facade.
Many newer construction projects simply lack this type of artistic personality.
