Fire at 134 Orchard Street

Earlier this morning, there was a fire at 134 Orchard Street. We woke up to the smell of smoke and the Chinatown Dragonfighters fire squad. Not nearly as much fun as waking up to Count Chocula and Saturday morning cartoons as originally planned. Everyone seems to be okay, and there doesn’t appear to be much damage. The fire was reportedly in a shaftway between the two buildings. Major props to FDNY, though. They responded in numbers and quickly at that.
