Film Followup: Sorcerer’s Apprentice
This image has been archived or removed.
Remember the curse of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice during filming last spring? If not, here’s a quick refresher:
- In April, tons of confetti from an explosion scene (above) on Eldridge Street clogged roof drains before a rainstorm. The blockage caused flooding, and in some cases, roof collapse.
- In May, a Ferrari in Times Square lost control and plowed into the Sbarro’s on Seventh Avenue, injuring two people.
- A few days later, another car accident, though unrelated to filming. The car lost control and plowed into a group of crew members.
- A partial building collapse was reported at 150 West 14th Street just days before the film shoot.
The official trailer was released a couple days ago. Looks pretty cheesy. Note the scenes with the red lanterns hanging between buildings. Those scenes were filmed on Eldridge. The movie hits theaters on July 16.
