Viking Love at First Sight

Without a doubt, the Missed Connections section of Craigslist provides nothing short of endless entertainment.  One such posting published last week describes a young woman with a cat mask approaching a guy with a Viking hat, likely during the recent East Village Viking pub crawl.  It was the proverbial love at first sight…at 4 am.

I saw you a few Saturday’s ago around 4:30 am. It was love at first sight. Your gleaming viking hat caught my eye as I saw you watch two elderly people making out. I put on my cat mask and was nervous but figured I would give it a shot. We talked briefly but I let you slip away and I regret it ever since and what we could have been – adventures in babysitting. I hope your parents are well and I’m sorry they abandoned you at the bar. Please be in touch soon.
