Metal Moment on Suffolk Street [Video]

In stark contrast to the Disco Dudes spotted on Ludlow earlier this year, both in musical taste and attire, this disheveled man had all eyes trained on him the other day. And for good reason. You could hear his presence from blocks away.

Slung over his left shoulder was a sack stuffed with a boombox that was blaring metal riffs. For roughly ten minutes, he stood near the window of New York Studio Gallery at 154 Stanton Street, casually peering inside at the installation. The sheer volume of the music elicited some gawkers and blank stares from neighbors who were visibly perturbed. The man eventually switched off the noise, and headed inside the gallery for a looksy. An interesting moment, to say the least.
