Sam Chang’s Holiday Inn on Delancey Sprouts Perimeter Plywood
Hotels are again the talk headache of the neighborhood. Fresh off blockbuster news that a Comfort Inn is moving into 136 Ludlow (just across from the UN!), there is now visible activity to report at the corner of Suffolk and Delancey, future site of Sam Chang’s hotel venture.

Construction began on the new plywood perimeter fence early Friday morning, and was completed by end of day. As reported earlier, this sandlot at 148-154 Delancey is to sprout a new six-story Holiday Inn. With DOB permits in hand, work will soon be underway on excavating the land and pouring the foundation.
