Nick Walker Update at Thunder Jackson’s
Frat-hole Thunder Jackson’s in Greenwich Village just erased two-thirds of the artwork on its Sullivan Street facade. Last week, two-and-a-half years after the umbrella-man stencils first appeared, out came the paint rollers and gray paint. Only one of the distinct “vandal” branded figures survived the makeover, and it’s conveniently protected by a security gate.

But the two erased stencils can still be seen beneath the paint job.

When the bar first opened at 169 Bleecker back in 2008, Gothamist first speculated that this was the work of Banksy. But it was later proved to be that of Nick Walker. It was a good run.
