We caught this item over at Slum Goddess yesterday afternoon.  The long-running basement comedy show at Lolita, Tell Your Friends, is now the subject of an independent concert film.  Organizer Liam McEneaney worked with producer/director Victor Varnado to realize the vision.

Tell Your Friends has been around for five years, and was recently shifted to Tuesday night performances.  The show is a great little neighborhood event which serves as a perfect incubator for local talent. Acts we’ve seen here include Kristen Schaal, Greg Giraldo, and Fred Armisen who tested material later used on SNL (the “wine and cigarettes” bar song bit). Below is a trailer of the new movie:

Lolita is at 266 Broome Street.
