Sidewalk Chalkings Commemorate Triangle Shirtwaist Victims
Volunteer chalkers fanned out across the neighborhood this morning, as they do each year, to commemorate the anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. Today marks the centennial of the tragic event. Boogie reader Kevin sent along the following shots:

The organization behind the sidewalk chalk effort is the Remember the Triangle Fire Coalition. Official commemoration of the infamous event will transpire today at the original factory HQ at the corner of Greene and Washington Place.
