The Eldridge Nightclub Sold for $500,000
Nightlife impresario Matt Levine has just thrown in the towel on high-roller club The Eldridge. The New York Post is reporting this morning that Levine sold his bar at 247 Eldridge Street, plus liquor license, for $500,000 in key money. No word yet on the new owner, but another nightclub is likely in the works here. Regardless of the new venture, though, the faux book facade will not remain.

Said Levine, “I didn’t want to let it go, but am very happy with the terms and plan to open up a restaurant on the Lower East Side soon.”
