Long time resident [21+ years] of Elizabeth St artist and building owner known to locals of as Kobi put out fire in his two level apt. Glass could be heard breaking from my adjacent kitchen window. Soon the smell of smoke was obvious. The fire appeared to be inside the walls. Flames were coming out from the window that goes out to the ground floor roof terrace. Fire fighters arrived within mins. But there did seem to be some confusion as to which apt bldg to go to.

Pic shows Kobi with fire extinguisher putting out the flames on the fire escape. It doesn’t appear that anyone was hurt.
