Fatal Shooting on Pitt Street Last Night
Late last night, we received a number of tips about a gruesome shooting on Pitt Street. One reader wrote, “someone just got shot 6 times on Pitt Street, and Rivington, lots of police and blood.

Lo Down is reporting that a 23-year-old Brooklyn man named Jonathan Alston was shot in the head outside 85 Pitt Street just after midnight. He was rushed to Beth Israel hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Suspect is still at large. Drop us a line if you have more info.
85 Pitt Street was last in the news for being evacuated due to gas leak in October 2010, and is also known for recent run-ins with bedbugs.
