More “Lola Versus” Filming on the Lower East Side
After a two-day respite, the indie flick Lola Versus is back in the neighborhood filming scenes. Like How to Make it in America before it, last week’s shoot seemed to occupy the iconic pink building at 321 Grand Street; and the immediate environs. Production is returning to the corner of Orchard again today and tomorrow. Judging by the cherry picker and placement of electrical cables, it’s more of the same.

Lola Versus focuses on a woman (Greta Gerwig) who is dumped a few weeks before the wedding to her college sweetheart (Joel Kinnaman). The traumatic event prompts her to “embark on a series of encounters in an attempt to discover her place in the world as a single woman before she turns 30.” Screenplay is written by Daryl Wein.
