The Mosaic Man Joins Facebook and Twitter
Jim “Mosaic Man” Power has just joined the social-leaning ranks of Web 2.0. Last week, the local tile artist behind the twenty-five-year-old East Village mosaic trail (and Vietnam veteran) created both a Twitter handle and Facebook page to further promote his life’s work. At the moment, Power boasts 45 and 27 followers respectively. Seems like there’s a ghost writer behind the accounts, though.

The Mosaic Man currently operates an eponymous website, but was formerly the proud owner of eastvillage.com. After lots of posturing, the artist sold his ownership to a local real estate company for a measly $10,000 back in 2007. Bet he’s kicking himself over that decision now…
