White Slab Palace Raided by NYPD Last Night
The Seventh Precinct tightened its noose on Lower East Side nightlife yet again last night with the closure of White Slab Palace at 77 Delancey Street. This usually raucous corner on weekends was completely silent. Quite a departure from the norm. We received numerous reports from the scene of the raid, which occurred just about 10:30 pm. In fact, one diner was quite happy with the closure, boasting of a free meal on Twitter: “Enjoying a nice meal at white slab palace until it… Gets raided by the cops? #lowereastside #freedinner.”

Restraining orders are taped to the inner and outer doors in duplicate, citing illegal sale of alcohol and lack of licensed security personnel.
