Fox & Boy Salon Expanding at 280 Mulberry

Another fox of a neighborhood salon is in the news today. We just received word that two-and-a-half-year-old Fox & Boy doubled its total footprint at 280 Mulberry Street. Situated in the construction riddled no-man’s-land just below East Houston, the salon recently annexed the adjacent retail space, and now lays claim to the entire ground level.

Until now, storefront 1 at 280 Mulberry was occupied by a string of vintage shops, and most recently, a psychic den. This second “location” is a mere brand extension, and is scheduled to open for business tomorrow. Ownership tells us that it’s a “mirror image of the current space…with a more masculine feel,” but same hair services. Contact information remains unchanged for both branches of Fox & Boy.

Fox & Boy has some name competition barely a half-mile to the southeast. Indeed, salon-slash-finishing bar newcomer Fox & Jane opened at 154 Orchard Street in July, catering to those in need of some trim-up pre-partying.
