Police Seeking Katz’s Deli Pocketbook Snatcher
Katz’s Deli has a pocketbook thief on their hands. Police are seeking a female suspect who has already hit the iconic Lower East Side pastrami haven three times within the last five months. She snatches the purses while unsuspecting customers are eating. According to the Daily News, the most recent attack occurred on September 30, and was caught on surveillance tape.

In the video, we see the thief paying the bill while nervously looking toward the rear of the establishment. Cops are describing the perp, who is also wanted in connection to a similar crime at Clinton Street Baking Company, as an African American female between the ages of 40 and 50.
