Jodamo Hopes to Reopen Next Week on Grand Street
Last Friday evening, Jodamo closed up shop as usual just before the Jewish Sabbath, having every intention to return again on Sunday. But the two-alarm early-morning fire at 319-321 Grand Street was the proverbial monkey wrench, and the old-time haberdasher has been on the sidelines ever since.

New signs taped to the security gates, though, indicate that Jodamo should reopen sometime next week after certain “alterations” are arranged. Perhaps this suggests that the blaze didn’t completely kill business.
