The SKINnY on Orchard to Expand Next Door
We all knew this would happen. With Elegant Woolen & Silk officially gone from the Lower East Side landscape, a replacement is already waiting in the wings. Record timing. As predicted, it’s a nightlife venture, but an established one at that. Look no further than the hipster watering hole next door, a divey holdover from the early-aughts.

According to the recently-published SLA agenda for Community Board 3, The SKINnY Bar & Lounge is poised to expand its footprint into the new vacancy at 174 Orchard Street. They are applying for another full liquor license for the space.
Elegant Woolen & Silk had resided at this location for twenty-seven years before succumbing to gentrification and the resultant rents.
