Pet Supply Shop Opening at 156 Stanton Street
In the year-and-change since We the People fashion collective exited the Lower East Side, the tiny store at 156 Stanton Street became a total retail void. The only activity on premises was the placement and residence of a leasing sign above the entryway. However, we can now report that the days of dormancy are done.

Said sign was removed from 156 Stanton not long ago, and work began on an interior build-out. Word on the street is that a new pet supply shop is moving here. Indeed, owner and crew were busy stocking the shelves yesterday evening, and informed us that they should be open by week’s end. When asked the name of the establishment, we were told it was still an unknown. Not likely, but we’ll learn soon enough.
With such high rents and little foot traffic on this block, turnover in the vicinity is surely to continue unabated into the future.
