Fire and Response at 154-156 Broome Street

A fire broke out not long ago on the third floor of 154-156 Broome Street, part of the Seward Park Extension housing complex. The blaze was quickly extinguished after seemingly the entire downtown fire force responded.
Ladder 11 is fully extended as we speak, apartments being secured. A few dozen firefighters are corralled in the playground area, ostensibly awaiting orders.
