Rag & Bone Seeking Artist Submissions for Facade Mural

A few days after Aiko began stenciling at the Bowery graffiti wall, Rag & Bone just decided to announce the return of its houston/PROJECT crowdsourced art program on the Elizabeth Street facade. Ever since the fashionable threads shop assumed control of Cafe Colonial in May 2010, ownership has dedicated the wall space to a revolving selection of fan-submitted ideas.
We’ve seen couch-sitting astronauts, Gaia’s roosters, elaborate eggs, and rather cookie-cutter Rag & Bone logo reinterpretations. The company is seeking another of the latter, opening the field to new submissions from its fanbase. Principals Marcus Wainwright and David Neville will choose ten renditions and allow followers to vote a winner.
The contest victor will paint the new mural and receive $500 in store credit.
