Speed Bumps Arrive on Orchard and Ludlow

Literally one day after first reporting the certain arrival of speed bumps on the lower reaches of both Orchard and Ludlow Streets, DOT workers poured the asphalt mounds. Much quicker than we had anticipated, but great news nonetheless for the neighborhood. No more speeding down the side streets.

Here we are, just a few days removed from the pavement additions, and drivers certainly aren’t yet accustomed to this drastic change. This, despite the arrival of fresh road signs to alert motorists. In the last couple days alone, we’ve witnessed (nay, heard) numerous cars scrape their undercarriages on both humps. That’ll learn ’em.
