Dates Announced for CBGB Festival 2013

The second festival featuring other music for uplifting gormandizers is returning this spring. By way of job posting, we now know that CBGB has already scheduled a date for its second annual music/arts extravaganza. May 15 – 19, 2013. Yesterday afternoon, the official Twitter handle confirmed and put out a feeler for interns to help.

Much like the last go-round, the CBGB Festival will present hundreds of performances across city venues, film screenings, and industry conferences. Even more scattered than CMJ…

Out of the gate, the inaugural CBGB Festival was overshadowed by controversy. Seriously, people are still talking about the Cro-Mags show in which founding bassist Harley Flanagan went on a dressing room tear with a knife (relive our exclusive coverage here). It’ll be interesting to see how the second iteration is received by the press and city at large.
