“Stop the Youth Violence” Rally Planned for Thursday

End the East Side violence. That’s the message behind a community rally scheduled for Thursday evening. Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, in association with other state and city elected officials, is behind the effort to highlight the influx of youth violence in the neighborhood. This call to action arrives a few weeks after the brutal murder of Raphael Sadonte Ward on Columbia Street. The march begins as an assembly at Avenue D and 6th Street and ends near the site of the killing.
Even beloved local actor Luis Guzman is spreading the word, evidenced by this tweet the other day:
