AT&T Wireless held strong for a couple years at 162 Allen, but ultimately succumbed at the end of 2011. Foot traffic over there is tough to come by, and those needing cell junk probably less so. Since then, however, the commercial retail space has seen little action except for a leasing sign and piles of dust. Dormancy concluded last month with a poetic arrival – Chapter & Verse. A storefront office.

Chapter & Verse is essentially a PR agency that represents a small stable of local fashion brands, including Self Edge around the corner on Orchard Street. Their mission is to “help brands expand into new and unfamiliar territories” using its combined experience of over a decade in men’s fashion.

Below is the description:

The Chapter & Verse Agency was founded in response to a need for a knowledgeable and experienced showroom to help brands expand into new and unfamiliar territories. The idiom ‘chapter and verse’ is a century old phrase referring to exact and extensive detail, and describes the approach that C&V brings to every project that it undertakes. Utilizing over a decade of combined experience in men’s fashion, C&V offers PR, consulting and sales solutions for both upcoming and established clothing lines.
