After seven-year-vet 71 Clinton Fresh Foods foundered in February 2006, a slew of failed projects ensued. Fat Hippo. Patate Fellow. Hachember. Izakaya Dodom Pa. All in quick succession, but none lasting more than a year. The cursed space is now on the open market.
A fresh real estate listing from Loopnet reveals that Izakaya Dodom Pa at 71 Clinton (“she sells seashells by the seashore”) is looking to sell the business for an undisclosed amount of key money. The new owner will assume the seven remaining years on the lease, and pay $9,700 in monthly rent for the 1,000 square-foot space.
