It’s one of the more culturally eclectic block parties around, mixing two proud traditions on the streets of the Lower East Side. For the thirteenth year running, the annual Egg Rolls & Egg Creams Festival will return to the doorstep of the Eldridge Street Synagogue. Mark those calendars for June 9.
Tourists and locals flocking to 12 Eldridge will have their standard fix of the namesake food and drink. And as usual, entertainment will include musical performance (e.g. Klezmer and Peking Opera), Yiddish and Mandarin lessons, Mah Jong, challah braiding, egg roll making, and tours of the 1887 building itself.
In your humble opinion, which establishment makes the best eggrolls and/or egg creams?
