Taquitoria Opening Soon at Former Forcella Space on Ludlow

We’ve known for months, but now the news is official. La Montanara by Forcella is gone from 168 Ludlow Street. The fried pizza joint went dark in January and did not recover. Leasing signs and an eviction notice both made appearances since the closure. And last week, brown window paper and the announcement of the new replacement tenant materialized.
Meet Taquitoria, a fast-foodish establishment specializing in taquitos, which are small rolled tacos. Its location is directly across the street from likeminded newcomer 100 Montaditos, currently making a play for 177 Ludlow against the wishes of some in the community (point of contention is the liquor license). Not much else is known at the moment, except that there are hopes to serve RC Cola.

Much like its predecessor, Taquitoria is seemingly targeting the late-night hordes that flock here on the weekends.
