When club Mystique, as it was then known, moved into the former law offices at 141 Chrystie Street two years ago, it transformed the entire two-story box. From then on, through its various nightlife iterations, the stone facade with floral motif dominated the corner of Delancey. Until earlier this month, that is, when windows appeared on the second level. Cue new occupant.

Piggybacking off Bobby’s (itself having opened in March), a new upscale sports bar just opened upstairs. It’s called Red Heels and packs plenty of flat screens, expensive drinks, and waitresses in red heels to serve them. Fork in the Road notes that Esteban Ordonez (Apotheke fame) “oversaw the development of the beverage list.” Or, in layman’s terms, dude picked the drinks for patrons.

Red Heels is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, and will begin Sunday service with the first regular season NFL game on September 8.

Blue Seats on Ludlow botched the whole “upscale sports bar for LES” thing and became a legendary epic fail. Let’s see if Red Heels can improve on the concept.
