Report: Anna Sheffield Opening Jewelry Store at 47 Orchard

Sometime within the last few weeks, the Rachel Uffner Gallery ceased to exist at 47 Orchard Street. One day it was there as usual, and the next, brown paper obscured the windows. Coming up on what would’ve been the five-year anniversary at this address, a new tenant is already lined up for the space.
Word on the street these days is that New York-based designer (from northern New Mexico) Anna Sheffield is opening a jewelry store here. At the moment, her wares are available online and via SoHo showroom. 47 Orchard Street is the next logical step into retail.
Sheffield designs and crafts all her own jewelry, but focuses almost entirely on engagement rings and bands. Her resume includes big-time collaborations with the likes of Marc Jacobs and Philip Lim, and work with big-box retailers like Target and Urban Outfitters.
