[Photo: LUNGS, 2012]LUNGS (Loisaida United Neighborhood Gardens) is holding its second annual Harvest Arts Festival this month. Looks like over twenty-six community outdoor garden spaces around the Lower East Side and East Village are planning to showcase local creativity and Loisaida culture through a variety of artistic media. And, much like last year, each community garden has carte blanche on designing its own program – the neighborhood being the proverbial oyster.

Also, as we mentioned a while back, The Communal Spaces Play Festival that’s taking place weekends in September will wrap up its three-week run during the Festival.

It’s all happening September 28 and 29. For more info on how to participate, schedule of events, and whatnot, visit the LUNGSnyc.
