Katy Perry wasn’t always a bubblegum pop star in the musical stratosphere. Before her big break, the singer was predominantly in the world of country gospel music. Sorta hard to believe given her constant sale of sex these days.
What follows is a video of Katy Perry performing “I Kissed a Girl” at Mercury Lounge just as she was ascending to superstardom, circa April 2008.
Her new album, Prism, drops October 22, with leadoff single “ROAR” already dominating Top 40 radio for months.
