Noah’s Ark Deli Still Closed, Promises to Reopen at Month’s End

It’ll be yet another dark month at Grand Street, where Noah’s Ark Deli has been closed since the Jewish holidays began in early September. The sidewalk sukkah came and went, but still no reopening. This despite a sign in the window that promised September 28 as the date.
Religious residents seem pissed. Just the other day we relayed the bad news to an Orthodox customer who wasn’t in the know about its shutter. He shook his head with disbelief. We then spoke to the office in Teaneck and were assured that Noah’s Ark will reopen by the end of the month.
Don’t hold your breath, though. The restaurant is reported to have trouble making its monthly rent payments, and remains on the open market for $795,000 in key money, via Marc Berger.
