Noah and the Whale concluded their stateside tour last night at Irving plaza. Being in the best city, as lead singer Charlie Fink quipped, they decided to surprise the crowd by paying homage to the Beastie Boys. The introspective London-based five-piece busted into “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party)” with authority, despite some warnings that it might have some “character” (i.e. fuckups).
