250 Bowery Embraces the Street for Its New Ground Level Leasing Signage

RKF is certainly trying its darndest to lease out the enormous ground level of 250 Bowery, currently owned by Tri Star Capital’s David Edelstein. Simple signs just won’t do. So the latest tactic is resorting to an embrace of street culture to sell the space. Over the weekend, the brokerage pasted up this vinyl banner that imitates some derivative street art.
Ever since Anthropologie ditched plans to open an 11,000 square-foot flagship store here last summer, this crown jewel of 250 Bowery has remained dormant. Perhaps those ghosts of the Bowery that Billy Leroy always mentions are putting a curse on the store.
What do you think will open here?
