Dollar Pizza and Bike Shop for 174 Delancey Street

Platinum Properties has yet to unload 174 Delancey Street from its portfolio. The two-building package was put on the market last July for $8 million; it’s since been reduced to $7.25 million. In the meantime, the refurbished glitzy ground level retail spaces are now occupied.
The east store of 174 Delancey is a new bike shop called “Bike Man.” This makes perfect sense given the astronomical number of cyclists crossing the Williamsburg Bridge. It’s certainly situated to capitalize on that traffic.
And after bikers fix their gear, they can head next door for a slice. The west store is a new dollar pizza joint serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner (according to the sign). Community Board 3 approved its quest for a wine and beer license two months ago.
Illuminated signage for both new ventures appeared last week, at almost the same time.
