Sons of Essex Served Joaquin Phoenix’s 19-Year-Old Girlfriend Allie Teilz

Sons of Essex is back in the national media spotlight … but for all the wrong reasons. It’s much ado about underage drinking.
According to a dispatch in the Hollywood Reporter yesterday, Joaquin Phoenix and flame Allie Teilz, two decades his junior, were at the bar on December 10. It was the afterparty for the screening of the latest Spike Jonze film Her, in which Phoenix stars. Only problem is she’s 19 years-old.
Apparently the bouncer at the door did his job and wouldn’t let the couple into Sons of Essex without seeing proper ID. Teilz refused to comply, and both waited until the powers that be allowed them past the velvet ropes.
Nice job, guys.
