Singer/songwriter Mark Oliver Everett has been quenching our indie rock palates under the “E” moniker and his band, EELS, for nearly two decades now. He’s amassed enough albums, heading into the double-digits, always offering a rich glimpse into his introspective and sometimes bittersweet and ironic mindset.
And hot on the heels of 2013’s Wonderful, Glorious, E is set to release his eleventh studio album. Mark your calendars for The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett, out April 22.
We don’t know the tracklisting just yet, but E just issued a special album teaser. If anything, this brief snippet highlights what will likely be another personal stunner from Mr. Everett.
And for those who are old enough to remember, here’s EELS’ 1996 indie hit, “Novocaine for the Soul.” Still such an awesome tune. Enjoy!
