The obligatory “no parking signs” have been in place for nearly a week in anticipation of another film job.
A new network television pilot will invade Chinatown today, making it the third production to shoot scenes in the neighborhood this week. Warner Brothers Television is behind the new supernatural drama called Forever, which will appear on ABC later this year.
As part of the film activities, the former Earnest Sewn on Orchard Street was transformed into an antiques store. This address is no stranger to the small screen – Cinemax used the shop as set for The Knick last fall. Other areas affected include the square bounded by Allen/Forsyth/Grand/Delancey.

Forever is a sci-fi drama that follows the life of Dr. Henry Morgan, a 200-year-old man who spends eternity trying to find a way to reverse his immortality. Matt Miller (Chuck) is penning the pilot script. Veteran actor Judd Hirsch joined the cast last month.
To be honest, this sounds like a rip from Pete Hamill’s fantastic 2003 novel of the same name…
