Those cars are parked; protected bike lane
Cyclists have cause for celebration today. The protected bike lane and reconfigured traffic flow along Lafayette Street/Fourth Avenue are now operational. DOT crews painted the northbound pavement lime green last Thursday; the figurines and traffic symbols were embedded yesterday.
But this is New York City, and there are still plenty of motorists who don’t give a shit about such pesky things as a protected bike lane. Like this BMW parked outside Happy Paws with his hazards on.
