Some chatter on the block reveals the juicy (nay, syrup coated) gossip that the thirteen-year-old Clinton Street Baking Company is allegedly expanding. Its target? Right next door at the corner of East Houston. Yup, Min’s Market.
Longtime bodega Min’s Market succumbed to the real estate pressures on Saturday afternoon, leaving behind quite the valuable void. Not for long, though. If the intel we’re hearing is accurate, the beloved brunch spot will open an extension inside 2-4 Clinton Street. That action would make for even greater visibility on the block, and possibly allow for shorter morning wait times.
We reached out to Clinton Street Baking Company and they cannot confirm the chatter at this time.
