The never-ending East Houston capital works project does carry some benefits. We’ve seen how the construction sundries created a curbside gym in the past (cinderblocks and 2x4s); the presence of such obstructions also remains a playground for skateboarders.
So…
Local skater Billy Rohan was spotted yesterday evening attempting daredevil moves in the East Houston median by Orchard Street. In particular, an ollie off the water-main piping that is currently bound for the sub-street stratum.
Rohan jumped from the infrastructural obstacle a few times – with cameraman in tow – eventually landing the impressive trick.
The stunt was apparently a component of an overall campaign for the skatewear brand Samurai New York. Rohan was wearing their gear, and there was also a sticker plastered to the traffic sign.
